​You'll be learning from Dr Georgie Carroll.

​Dr Georgie Carroll is a sociologist specialising in fandom and celebrity studies. She completed her PhD at the University of Sydney in 2023, exploring the commodification of fandom communities through the lens of Taylor Swift and Supernatural.

​Georgie helps organisations create fan-centric strategies by centering fan voices in her work. She's contributed insights on fandom and fan culture to over sixty international media stories and has a decade of experience across communications, including roles as a publicist for fan conventions, social media strategist, and strategic communications advisor in the Australian Public Service.
