Ecosystem Presents - Caffeine & Content
Beta Coffee sits on Devonshire Street in Surry Hills, and it’s one of the World’s 100 Best Coffee Shops.
It’s also one of the most talked-about.
Founder Chris Maybury pre-batches the espresso behind almost every drink on the menu. The shots are pulled ahead of service, chilled, and tasted by the team before the doors open, so the cup comes out clean and sweet and a milk coffee lands in about ten seconds.
(Straight espresso is still pulled fresh, for the purists.)
It means the baristas spend less time racing the queue and more time with the people in front of them, which felt like the right setting for a morning of focused work.
Beta is hosting us for a live coworking session. There’ll be around 20 of us with laptops open, working on the content we’ve been meaning to get to, and Psyke is looking after the coffee.
On the menu
Personal branding. I’ll be working the room with people on their LinkedIn and posts, from a draft you’re stuck on to an idea you haven’t written yet.
AI visibility and SEO. The Psyke team will sit down with you over your website and content, and work on how your company comes up in search, including AI search.
At Blackstar, one of our pillars is land and expand, which is about helping companies get noticed in new markets across borders.
Getting noticed now covers a lot more than a selfie and a caption. It includes how you show up personally and how your company comes up when someone searches for it, including in AI search.
This is a morning to work on both in one room, alongside people doing the same.
Spots are capped at 20. Bring a laptop and something half-finished.
Hosted by Nick Irwin-Matthews and Blackstar Partners, with coffee from Psyke and thanks to Beta Coffee for having us.
