The Stave Ceremony: Toasting Flamel’s Acquisition by Yext

Every big outcome starts with a spark. Join Blue North and the Northern Kentucky startup community as we celebrate Flamel’s acquisition by Yext and launch a new tradition for founders celebrating big wins.

📅 Wednesday, November 11 · 4:00–5:30 PM
📍 SparkHaus Assembly Hall, Covington, KY

About Flamel
Flamel.ai, the Covington-based AI marketing startup co-founded by Paul Ehlinger, helps franchise and multi-location brands run local paid ads on Google, Meta, and ChatGPT. Brands set up a campaign once, and Flamel tailors it to every market. Yext already helps those same brands manage how each location shows up across search, listings, reviews, and social. Flamel adds the missing piece, paid media, and in September Yext announced its agreement to acquire the company.

Flamel has been part of the Blue North community since 2023, and Paul and CTO Matt Sichterman have given back every step of the way. They were among the first mentors in our BRINK program and have continued to show up to support other founders in the region. This is a win for Flamel and a milestone for Northern Kentucky.

Introducing the Stave Ceremony
In finance, big deals are marked with a “tombstone,” a keepsake commemorating the close. Here in Kentucky, we’re doing it our way. When a founder achieves a significant milestone they receive an etched bourbon barrel stave, with a matching stave to be mounted on the wall at SparkHaus. Every new win becomes a permanent part of our community’s story.
