Welcome! To join the event, please register below.
About Event

Join the California Young Democrats to gather signatures for both Connect Bay Area and Stronger Muni for All, funding public transit in San Francisco and throughout the five counties of the Inner Bay Area! The California Young Democrats has endorsed these essential transit funding measures at the state, regional, and local levels, and this event celebrates these endorsements with a day of action. All are welcome.

We will meet at 1:30pm in Patricia's Green at Linden and Octavia, for snacks and a discussion about the measures and signature gathering campaign with some special guest speakers, followed by a quick training and distribution of petition supplies. Then we'll gather signatures from voters enjoying the pedestrianized Hayes Promenade and gather for a quick slice of pizza at 4pm.

(Between 2:30 and 4pm, feel free to also stop by for a packet exchange if you've already been trained or you've read our training guide and completed this form in advance. RSVP to get updates before or during the event, and to help us bring enough supplies.)

No experience necessary. You just need to be 18 years old to gather signatures. If you're under 18, you can partner with someone else and focus on making initial contact with voters, while your partner gathers signatures from people you've warmed up!

Questions? Let us know at connectbayarea26@gmail.com, as there are many other ways to be involved and help!

***

San Francisco needs to pass both the Stronger Muni for All (San Francisco parcel tax) and Connect Bay Area (five-county sales tax) transit measures in November to prevent service cuts, and you can gather signatures for both at the same time! We will have both petitions available at this event.
