βChallenge
βAI for Government is about turning public complexity into real products. This includes government agencies as well as the broader ecosystem around them β procurement teams, compliance functions, policy groups, contractors, and public-facing organizations.
βWashington runs on applications, filings, audits, regulatory analysis, and consulting-built software that hasnβt aged well. There is real opportunity to build better tools.
βIn this four-hour sprint, build an AI product that improves a government or government-adjacent workflow β with the ambition of becoming a YC-scale company.
βIdeas might include:
βAI systems that help agencies process applications and filings
βSoftware that accelerates fraud investigations and organizes evidence
βLLM-powered alternatives to traditional government consulting and compliance work
βModern infrastructure for public-facing organizations
βOr something unexpected that makes public systems work better. No prior government experience required.
βPrizes
β$5,000 in cash prizes:
βπ₯ 1st Place: $3,500 β| π₯ 2nd Place: $1,000 β| π₯ 3rd Place: $500
βProjects will be judged on product quality, technical execution, use of AI, and real venture-scale potential.
βJudges
βFounders and operators from YC-backed startups.
Final lineup to be announced as part of the c0mpiled series.
