📍 2112 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC

c0mpiled (by Transpose Platform) is thrilled to collaborate with Deep Learning Adventures and the larger Data Community DC and co-organize the largest AI hackathon event in DC so far!
Challenge
AI for Government is about turning public complexity into real products. This includes government agencies as well as the broader ecosystem around them — procurement teams, compliance functions, policy groups, contractors, and public-facing organizations.
Washington runs on applications, filings, audits, regulatory analysis, and consulting-built software that hasn’t aged well. There is real opportunity to build better tools.
In this four-hour sprint, build an AI product that improves a government or government-adjacent workflow — with the ambition of becoming a YC-scale company.
Ideas might include:
AI systems that help agencies process applications and filings
Software that accelerates fraud investigations and organizes evidence
LLM-powered alternatives to traditional government consulting and compliance work
Modern infrastructure for public-facing organizations
Requests for Startups from YC here
Or something unexpected that makes public systems work better.
No prior government experience required. If you are an AI enthusiast, builder, product manager, UI/UX designer, student or simply enjoy using AI tools effectively, this event is made for you!
We are looking for talented individuals and teams to showcase their skills and build awesome products during our hackathon event. There are significant monetary and swag prizes for you as well as direct feedback from selected Y Combinator startups. Join us today!!!
Prizes
$5,000 in cash prizes:
🥇 1st Place: $3,500 | 🥈 2nd Place: $1,000 | 🥉 3rd Place: $500
Projects will be judged on product quality, technical execution, use of AI, and real venture-scale potential.
If you are currently working for a government entity/agency, due to compliance, we are not allowed to give out cash or swag to you. However, you are welcome to join and receive an honorable mention if you win.
