The Fall 2026 Bay Area Career Symposium
Join us for the Fall 2026 Bay Area Career Symposium where you can get a head start on your future. Join us for a half-day conference designed to help you build the skills, connections, and confidence you need to launch your career journey.
What You'll Experience:
🎤 Communication Skills Building — How you talk about your experience shapes how others perceive your potential—Who You Are Matters is a small-group session built to help you practice exactly that. Through guided conversation prompts, you'll refine how you articulate your strengths, values, and career direction in a way that resonates in interviews, networking, and beyond. Walk away with a clearer, more compelling way to talk about who you are and where you're headed.
🏢 Industry Info Session — Get an inside look into the Silicon Valley ecosystem. Every chip inside their devices was made possible by companies like KLA — a global leader in process control and yield management for semiconductor manufacturing. KLA's technology is what makes sure everything is built right. It's a Silicon Valley powerhouse most students have never heard of — and that's exactly the opportunity. Join us for an info session where you’ll learn more about the career paths at a company quietly powering the tech world you already know **Lunch provided by KLA- make sure to RSVP**
🎯 Supervisor Insights — Hear directly from the managers and professionals (Amazon. NVIDIA. Evenness.) on what they are looking for in their teams and projects. Join us for a candid Q&A with real supervisors ready to share what they wish every student knew before starting their career! Ask the questions you can't Google (e.g., what actually gets you hired, promoted, and remembered on the job).
🎓 Alumni Stories — Learn how former students turned their experience into opportunity. Recent grads will come back to share what their career journey has really looked like since leaving campus! Hear the wins, the detours, and the lessons learned — straight from people who sat in your seat not long ago.
📊 Hands-On Data Workshop — This session offers students a practical, industry-grounded look at how data science and machine learning solve real-world problems—covering everything from search and personalization to experimentation and applied ML. Drawing on hands-on industry experience, the speaker will unpack how these problems are framed, modeled, and turned into products used at scale, while also sharing insights on career paths and the skills companies look for in data science talent.
🤝 Networking — Practice making real connections in a low-pressure, supportive setting. Remember, networking is an ongoing skills to build and develop, not a one-time event.
