Books & Booze: Decoding Taste [ENG]
A month of observing, questioning, and decoding taste with a sober and non-sober menu for all.
This month, Books & Booze dives into La Distinction by Pierre Bourdieu, a sharp and fascinating exploration of how our tastes in art, food, culture, and lifestyle are never just personal, but deeply shaped by class, education, and social context.
Far from being about “good” or “bad” taste, La Distinction asks bigger questions:
Why do we like what we like?
How does culture signal belonging?
And how do aesthetics become a quiet language of power?
In a moment where “old money” aesthetics, cultural capital, and lifestyle signaling are everywhere, this read feels more relevant than ever.
Join us for an evening that blends critical thinking, open conversation, and thoughtfully crafted drinks (both non-alcoholic and cocktail options), designed to spark reflection and connection.
