Embroidery 101
Embroidery 101 is a relaxed workshop for beginners curious about trying something new or those ready to revisit a craft you haven’t touched since summer camp🏕️. You’ll learn the foundational techniques of hand embroidery while creating a stitch sampler and customize your own personal item 🧢. No experience needed — just bring your curiosity (and something you’d love to stitch on).
Over the course of this 2 hour session, you’ll learn a handful of beginner stitches, explore how to transfer your own design, and get plenty of time to practice and play. We’ll end with time to start embroidering a personal item using your new skills— like a tote, shirt, or hat 💥.
We will cover things like:
🪡 Beginner hand embroidery techniques including Running, Back, split, and threaded.
🪡 How to transfer a design to fabric
