These apps help users track periods, symptoms, ovulation, fertile windows, and patterns over time. But many of the algorithms behind them remain a “black box,” meaning users often have little insight into how their data is processed or how predictions are generated.
As a result, important questions around transparency, privacy, and accountability can easily be overlooked.
