POIESIS opening group art exhibition

​We're pleased to invite you to
"Poiesis" a group exhibition curated by Sara Almaazmi.

​Derived from the ancient Greek word Tolsiv: "to make,"
"to create". Poiesis refers to the act of bringing something into being that did not previously exist.

​The exhibition asks why we feel compelled to give our ideas form, and explores this impulse through humanity's earliest creative gestures. Drawing from the lineage of cave paintings, hymns, carvings, and symbols. the works return to the threshold where human imagination first became material, where creative energy first found form.
Through sculpture, painting, sound, installation, and material exploration, the exhibition reflects on creation as a shared inheritance, an unbroken lineage of human creativity that continues through every act of making today.

​Bringing together works by Sedra Almansoori, Sara Almaazmi, Laura Xenopol, Khalid Al Amimi, and Metha Naser.
