Cluj AI Buildathon

​Cluj AI Buildathon is an intensive sprint focused on building AI-driven solutions, with a strong emphasis on execution and tangible results. The goal is to tackle real-world challenges from the local community, business environment, education, and urban life in Cluj through practical, testable solutions with real implementation potential.

​Participants are encouraged to develop AI products with direct applicability, both for improving life in the city and for optimizing processes within local companies.

​The event takes place as part of Cluj Days (May 23–24) and marks the beginning of a broader process: after the initial 48-hour sprint, teams will have approximately one month to further develop and refine their solutions to a pilot-ready stage. Final projects will be presented during Transylvania Demo Day, that will happen in July 2026.

​Cluj AI Buildathon is organized by ROTSA (Romanian Tech Startups Association) as part of Cluj Days. The initiative aims to connect talented individuals in Cluj with real city challenges and accelerate the development of practical AI solutions with meaningful local impact.
