Wasatia: A Journey of Moderation, Dialogue & Leadership - Private Track
Facilitated by Alaa Abu Hilal and supervised by Professor Mohammed Dajani Daoudi, this six-week program is designed to address some of the most pressing issues in our society. It explores the philosophy of Wasatia, the path of moderation, justice, compassion, tolerance, dialogue, and coexistence. Through narratives, storytelling, and critical reflection, participants will examine how stories and collective memories shape societies, how peace and justice can be understood in complex contexts, and how media frames division.
Throughout the program, we will highlight the voices of moderation and the risks people face. Drawing on Professor Dajani’s own journey and groundbreaking initiatives in peacebuilding and reconciliation, we will reflect on the challenges of leadership, the audacity and responsibilities of those who seek to “do the right thing,” and the possibilities for building more balanced and compassionate futures. This journey is not just about learning, but about personal growth and development.
This is not a lecture series but a dynamic space for engagement, where participants are not just listeners but active contributors, encouraged to think critically, listen deeply, and explore new pathways toward understanding and moving forward.
