Morning swim in the Living Lab
The Marineterrein in central Amsterdam, a former naval base turned Living Lab, is a place where water, nature, art, and new ideas about urban life get tested out in the open. Join De Oloide Beweging and a circle of co-organisers for a morning swim, a piece of mathematical curiosity, breakfast and art performance, before festival week begins.
Tuesday May 26 · 07:30–09:30
Marineterrein, Pension Homeland, Amsterdam
Local outdoor swimmers invite you to experience the Oloïd in the water, learn more about it, hold one in your hands (and, in case you fall in love with it, buy one), and see it move in a dance.
The swimmers will welcome you into the water of the Marineterrein for a morning dive. Then, dry off and gather inside Pension Homeland, where Ben will serve a warm breakfast in one of the cosiest corners of Amsterdam. It's a soft pre-festival start, designed to slow you down rather than speed you up.
A short walk will lead all to the performance, while getting to know innovative companies. The dance with Oloïd bamboo structure by Miri Lee, with Niti Ranjan Biswas on tabla will make this an experience that you do not want to miss.
A small, embodied entry point into Enter the Metamorphosis, before the rest of the week unfolds.
YOUR EXPERIENCE INCLUDES (€10 suggested contribution for breakfast, paid at Pension Homeland)
A accompanied morning swim at the Marineterrein with the local outdoor swimming community
A warm breakfast at Pension Homeland by chef Ben
A live dance performance inside an oloid
Conversation with co-organisers and fellow early arrivals to KFF26
