Builder’s Breakfast: The Context Engineering Conversation by Swiggy
AI models are converging. What separates great AI products from the rest is context: which documents get retrieved and in what order, how memory is structured, what the tool definitions say, and plenty more.
As models become increasingly interchangeable, context is emerging as the layer that determines whether an AI agent simply responds or consistently delivers meaningful business outcomes. We are getting the folks who have cracked the code for the latter around one breakfast table.
What to expect
We’re inviting 25 experienced AI practitioners to spend a morning in conversation with Swiggy's CTO, Madhusudhan Rao, along with our engineering and AI leaders.
This is a space for you to compare notes on what AI systems you are building, what is breaking, and what is holding up in production, plus the architecture patterns that have survived contact with real traffic.
Here are some themes we’ll cover over the course of two hours:
Giving AI agents the right context to achieve business outcomes reliably
Creating, organizing, indexing and retrieving context that scales with your product
Keeping context fresh so your systems get better with time instead of staler
Making your context layer a durable competitive advantage, independent of any model or orchestration framework
Bring your opinions, questions, and the problems keeping you up at night.
Agenda
8:30 to 9:00 AM: Breakfast and networking
9:00 to 9:30 AM: Building AI Systems in Production: Beyond the Model
9:30 to 10:00 AM: Eat and Learn session. Context Engineering: Principles, Patterns and Practical Applications
10:00 to 10:30 AM: Open Q&A and networking
Who this is for
We have capped the attendance to 25 seats to encourage meaningful discussions. This is a curated gathering of experienced practitioners who are actively building production AI systems:
Founders or CTOs of AI-native startups, and startups building LLM or AI capability
VP and engineering leaders building customer-facing AI solutions
Staff, Principal and Senior Software Engineers working on AI products
Senior AI Product Engineers
Technical Architects building agentic workflows
We give preference to practitioners from AI-native startups, foundation model companies, enterprise AI startups, digital-native startups that have shipped customer-facing AI at scale, and leading technology companies building LLM-powered products.
This event is part of Basecamp, a community-powered tech week in Bengaluru bringing founders, builders, and operators together. Basecamp is free for the community and powered by the community.
The event venue will be shared with approved attendees only. Please note the event is happening in Central Bangalore.
