Dr. C. Jayakumar is a distinguished HR leader with over 37 years of rich and diverse experience in strategic human resources management and organizational transformation, including spearheading digital HR initiatives. As the CHRO of Larsen & Toubro Limited, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the people agenda of one of India's most respected conglomerates.
Throughout his tenure at L&T, Dr. Jayakumar has held senior HR leadership roles across various businesses, including international assignments in the Middle East and Africa region. His deep expertise spans talent management, leadership development, change management, and building future-ready organizations.
An alumnus of the prestigious London Business School, Dr. Jayakumar holds a doctorate in leadership, certification in executive coaching from CFI and certified in various psychometric assessments. He is also certified in Organizational Development from the NTL Institute of Advanced Behavioural Sciences, USA.
Dr. C. Jayakumar has made an immense contribution to the Human Resources domain over the years. He is an integral part of several influential committees and advisory boards, playing a key role in shaping the HR landscape in India.
He currently serves as National President of the National HRD Network (NHRDN), steering the vision to advance HR excellence across India. He is actively involved with esteemed professional bodies such as FICCI, AIMA, CII, Employers’ Federation of India and SOIL. He contributes to academic thought leadership as a Board Member of the Academy of Human Resource Development and serves on the Academic Boards of Studies of premier institutions such as XLRI Jamshedpur, SPJIMR, Jaipuria Institute of Management, among others. He is also part of the CHRO Advisory Board for SAP SuccessFactors.
Dr. Jayakumar’s individual contributions to the field of Human Resources have been widely celebrated, reflecting his deep expertise, visionary leadership, and long-standing commitment to advancing the HR profession. Over the years, he has been honoured with several prestigious accolades that underscore his influence and impact across the industry such as ‘CHRO of the year’ award by BW People in 2025, ‘Impactful HR Leader’ by ET Edge in 2025, ‘Change Maestro & Institutional Builder of the Year Award’ in the Private Sector at IAC in 2025 and Top 50 HR Thought Leaders by ET HR World in 2025 & 2024. Among other recognitions, he has been named as Top HR Influencers 2024 by Jombay, has featured on the ‘CPO - Human Capital Catalysts’ list for 2 consecutive years by HR association of India and has received HR Lifetime Achievement Award from FICCI.

Appropriate Footwear and Attire Clarification: We have outlined the appropriate footwear above, please ensure that you adhere to the dress code to be able to attend the event. No sneakers or other informal shoes, or slippers will be permitted entry. Please note that no obscene colours such as but not limited to bright pink, for instance, will be permitted.
