Agency 2026 · Dec 9 · Alberta Velocity: Full Speed Ahead (Calgary)
Alberta is moving. Come and see how fast.
Alberta Velocity: Full Speed Ahead closes out Agency 2026. It is an open industry day where government and industry get on the same stage and talk about what it takes to build with AI, at the pace the moment demands.
What Velocity means
Velocity is Alberta’s open playbook for an AI-enabled public service, set out in the Velocity White Papers. Full Speed Ahead is the next step: putting that playbook into practice, with industry at the table. Government sets the challenges. Industry shows how it would help meet them. Everyone leaves knowing what comes next.
What you can expect
1. Industry speaks, government responds
Companies speak on the key topics, and government and industry talk it through on the stage, so you hear both sides in the same room.
2. Two challenges, set by government
Agent orchestration and engineering: how do we orchestrate agents so thousands can work concurrently and take on complex tasks?
Human-centred change management: how do we use AI to help people move to an agentic government?
Each challenge opens with company talks and demos, followed by a dialogue between government and industry.
Who should attend
Founders, technology leaders, investors, researchers, students, and anyone in Alberta who wants to see where AI in government is heading and where they fit.
