Julia Brickell
Attorney at Law, Lecturer, Consultant

Julia Brickell serves as general counsel for AI advisory services at Workforce Opportunity Services and is a board member of the AI Education Project, nonprofits that serve marginalized populations. She teaches, speaks, and writes about the intersection of data management and security, AI, and legal ethics. Ms. Brickell taught Technology and the Law in executive masters programs at Columbia University for over a decade, and more recently at Northeastern University. Ms. Brickell was general counsel of H5, known for its search technology and measurement expertise, and was formerly associate general counsel of Altria Client Services, vice president and deputy general counsel of Philip Morris USA, and a litigator at Davis, Polk & Wardwell in New York.

David Siffert
Lawyer, Professor, and Democratic Nominee for NY State Assembly

David Siffert is a civil rights lawyer, NYU law professor, and the Democratic Nominee for State Assembly in District 66. They are a community leader and life-long Manhattanite who combines the wonkishness of an academic with the experience of a civil rights advocate and the grounding of a community organizer.  David has drafted countless bills related to technology, privacy, and civil rights, negotiated bill language, advocated for and against state legislation, and submitted regulatory comments.

William A. Tanenbaum
Chair of the AI & Data Law Practice, Moses Singer

Bill is Chair of the AI & Data Law Practice (founded in 2020) at Moses & Singer in New York and a Technology, IP, and Cyber partner at the firm. He has a “national reputation” in technology, is a “leading name” in AI, a “Global Elite Thought Leader” in Data (one of only five U.S. lawyers), an “IP Star,” and one of the “Top 10 Pioneering Tech Lawyers Shaping NY’s Legal Landscape.” Bill is a former SIM NY member.
