Macc June Meetup: Scaling Twine to 1M+ Users & AI adoption at Pets At Home
We are back for the June macc.xyz meetup. Following a fun gaming focused event in May, we're back at the Bollington Brewery Tap on Thursday, June 4th, for another evening of tech, talks, and local networking.
If you are a developer, founder, designer, or just curious about the Macc tech scene, come down, grab a drink, and meet the community.
We have two excellent sessions lined up this month:
Stuart Logan (Twine): Scaling a Freelance Marketplace to 1M+ Users
Stuart joins us for a conversation about the evolution of Twine. He will walk us through their journey from starting as a music collaboration platform to scaling into a global creative freelancer marketplace that now supports over a million users. Expect a run through of the technical and business realities of hitting scale.
Simon Ellis (Pets At Home): AI and Agentic Transformation at Enterprise Scale
Simon is the Head of AI Transformation and Architecture at Pets At Home. He will break down what AI and agentic adoption actually look like inside a major UK retailer. This is a practical look at how large organisations are moving past the hype and actively deploying agentic architecture to solve real-world operational challenges.
The Schedule

19:30 - Stuart Logan, Scaling Twine
20:00 - Break for drinks
