​This fall, join us for a monthly exploration of contemporary gothic horror.

​This fall, we'll explore the haunting creativity of contemporary women writing in the gothic horror tradition. Together, we'll read novels and novellas where folklore, unsettling atmospheres and the supernatural become a lens for examining colonialism, religious trauma, cultural heritage, gender, the natural world, and wounds inherited from both family and society.

​Each month, we'll dive into a carefully selected work by authors such as T. Kingfisher, Silvia Moreno-Garcia, and Isabel Cañas. Expect stories rich with psychological suspense, haunted houses, cursed landscapes, creeping dread, and monsters both literal and metaphorical.

​Whether you're already a fan of gothic literature or are just discovering the genre, this book club is an invitation to savor beautiful prose and meaningful conversation about the ways horror can reveal deeper truths about ourselves and the world we inhabit.
