CyberFest
CyberFest is the North East’s largest cyber security festival.
Taking place throughout October and across the North East, the festival brings a range of events and activities to support the growth of the North East digital economy with the focus on cyber security and secure AI.
Bringing over 1000 people together from all levels of business and across industry, academia and the public sector, it is a hugely important initiative that shines a spotlight on the region, its talent and the strength of its frontier tech community.

Bringing together the North East cyber ecosystem with other specialist clusters, national experts, and senior leaders across industry, government, and academia, the CyberFest Community Conference is not one to be missed!
The conference showcases North East talent, innovation, and capabilities across key frontier technologies, putting cyber security at the heart of best practice and commercial development.
Hear from speakers from the UK Government's National Cyber Security Centre, CFC Insurance, and Information Security for London, covering everything from Data to the Dark Web.
Also hear from our expert cyber and AI panel featuring industry leaders from the Department for Work & Pensions and Traction Industries.
After lunch (provided), conference attendees will be invited to attend an afternoon session exploring adjacent industries such as Space, Defence, Energy, AI, and Manufacturing, led by world-class experts.
The day is designed to ignite collaboration and knowledge-sharing at both regional and national levels.
Programme Structure:
Morning Summit: This session features keynotes, panel discussions, and interactive Q&As from leading figures across government, industry, and academia. Offering unmissable insights alongside dedicated opportunities to network with national peers. (full agenda to be announced)
Afternoon Focused Breakout Tracks: After the Community Conference, industry leaders will be invited to participate in deep-dive events, designed to turn the morning’s insights into actionable outcomes. Led by sector experts and industry partners, these sessions explore the intersection of cyber security with critical frontier sectors.
In collaboration with our delivery partners and national cluster networks, these afternoon sessions aim to spark high-impact commercial opportunities, catalyse R&D innovation, and accelerate growth across the UK’s frontier technology landscape.
