Dark Sky CXO Retreat
Join CXOs, founders, dreamers, artists, and visionaries for a night of close community, wine paired bites, and a view of one of the two most iconic dark sky locations in the world.
The Dark Sky retreat features Friday- Sunday accommodations, an intimate gathering in a private, midcentury modern, gallery home in the hills above Joshua Tree National Park, a trio wine flight, world class art tour and auction. Make new connections with fellow visionaries over good music, good food, and good conversation.
You arrive Friday 9 October, where you will be staying in Yucca Valley at the former Travel Lodge heavily updated into a modern haven with pool, jacuzzi, and bar/cafe. Saturday morning you are guided on a local tour of artists' studios, homes, and galleries. These artists sell their art in large galleries worldwide, and have agreed to open their creative spaces to inspire and delight. At 5 p.m. join the hostess for a curated wine selection and a private showing of local art on offer in a private auction (silent auction opens 36 hours before the live event). Meet and converse with like-minded peers as the sun goes down, enjoying paired bites prepared on site. After dark, if you have your cameras set up catch breathtaking photos of the milky way (note: lights will be extinguished for this part of the evening so be mindful).
The hostess invites you to remain after the official event to view the breathtaking night sky and milky way (weather permitting), accompanied by world-class music and conversation on the Italian deck. Take home art made by one of the local artisans, and be inspired by the beautiful scenery. Return to your comfortable accommodations when ready and sleep in, departing at 11 for the airport or enjoy some time in the area before returning.
This is a highly selective, invite-only event coinciding with the Joshua Tree music festival and art open house. In order to ensure the most authentic, natural conversations we are capping the event at 30 participants, and making Chatham rules mandatory. Join us for a night to remember.
