​After the success of our last event in May, our next Gridcog Unplugged event is here, and we’d love for you to join us for an evening of insightful energy chats, mingling and drinks in Shoreditch. ​

​In this edition of Unplugged, we’ll be turning our attention to Europe…

​Blackouts in the Iberian peninsula, negative prices surging across key markets, and record solar additions driving capture rates to historic lows - 2025 is proving a significant year for the energy transition.

​This panel brings together experts to explore where flexibility is most urgently needed across Europe, and where the opportunities for developers, investors and large energy users might be. We explore:

• ​The repercussions from recent system stress events (e.g. Iberian blackout) and what they signal for future system design

• ​The most attractive markets today for battery storage, demand response, and flexible generation, from Germany and the Netherlands to Spain and France

• ​The growing problem of grid congestion, and what can be done to overcome it

• ​What lessons can the GB market learn from European markets?
