AI & marketing: GEO & ChatGPT ads
A growing share of buying decisions now start with a question to ChatGPT, not a search on Google. It’s still a small share. It’s also growing fast, and most brands have no idea whether they show up in the answer.
This is a curated evening of conversations on the two ways to get in front of that buyer:
earning a citation (Generative Engine Optimization, or GEO)
and paying for one (ads inside ChatGPT).
We have invited the people actually doing it: NIKIN, a Swiss brand that’s run both, the platforms selling the inventory, and the tooling that measures it. We’ll ask them the questions a performance marketer would ask. What does it cost, what does it return, how do you measure it, and does it deserve budget yet. Then the floor is yours.
What you’ll learn
How LLMs choose who to recommend: how models find, index and cite content, and why some brands get named while their competitors don’t exist.
How to measure a channel with no rankings: the metrics that actually tell you whether AI visibility is moving, and the ones that just look good in a deck.
What moves the needle: the technical and content factors that reliably lift a brand’s presence in AI answers, and what’s noise.
ChatGPT ads, priced: current CPMs, what the formats do, and which brands this channel suits right now versus which should wait.
What it’s like from the brand side: NIKIN on their experience running both ChatGPT ads and GEO: what worked, what didn’t, and what they’d do differently.
