Founders & CTOs Game Day Tailgate: Texas vs. Mississippi State
Longhorns vs Mississippi State, Saturday, October 31. We've got a tent on the LBJ Library Lawn, next to the stadium, and we'd rather not sit in it alone!
Expect around twenty people from Texas tech: Founders, CTOs, product and engineering folks, a few we'll have met that week at Tech Week, and hopefully you.
Nobody's presenting anything. Food, drinks and the shade are on us, the game's on the screen, and you don't need a match ticket. Come for an hour, stay for the whole thing, whatever works.
We are bringing more than the food.
We spent the past year building our company a "second brain". It plugs into the stuff we already use (email, Slack, the CRM, the shared drive) right from our own laptops, with our own logins. No migration, no new system to learn. Questions that used to eat up three people and a week now just get answered, so now we ask the questions we had previously given up on.
We'll have it running on a laptop in the tent. Throw it a question about us and see what happens. We also kept an honest tally of what it took: the hours, the setup, the two times it was dead wrong with total confidence, and the one month we'd have been better off doing it by hand.
Want to dig into that? We're in. Rather talk about whether Texas covers the spread? Also in.
A few questions we keep asking each other (and want to ask you):
What have you stopped asking about your own business because it takes a week to find out?
Who on your team is basically the glue between two systems?
What would you ask first thing Monday if you could get the answer in ten minutes?
Practical bits: Game starts at 5 PM.
We invite you two hours before kickoff, tent stays up an hour after the final whistle. Park early, that lot fills up fast. Bring someone from Tech Week you didn't get to finish a conversation with. Room for about twenty.
We're Pirxey, a 130-person software company from Poland, figuring this out at the same time as everyone else. Whatever we say about it is written up at pirxey.tech/briefs, including the parts that didn't work.
See you on the lawn!
