About Event

Come and innovate the future of healthcare with AI

You don’t need a healthcare background, an idea, or a team. Just a laptop and a Saturday. We’ll handle the rest.

On 28 November, teams design and prototype solutions to real problems in the healthcare system. The hackathon runs 09:00 to 20:00 at Sting’s office in central Stockholm.

Lovable sponsors the day, and every participant gets a credit code with credits to build a real, working product before the pitches.

Food and drink all day. The day ends with a pitch competition, where each team presents its solution to a jury of experts from the health and tech industries.

50 spots. Sign up early, we review and confirm registrations on a rolling basis. Registration closes 21 November.

What to bring

A computer, charger, and the energy to build something in a day!

👀 Before the hackathon: a webinar 25 November, 15:00–16:00

We present the teams and the problems you’ll work on. Work in care and know a problem worth solving? Bring it to the webinar. We’ll email you the link a few days before, and we record it.

🎯 Who it’s for

Maybe you work in healthcare and keep running into the same broken thing. Or you build software and want a problem worth solving. Or you want to spend a Saturday putting what you know about design, research or your field to use.

This is for you if you’re a:

  • Nurse, doctor, physiotherapist or anyone else working in care

  • Developer, ML engineer or data scientist

  • Designer or product person

  • Student in medicine, engineering, design or life science

  • Founder or researcher working on health

Teams work best when they’re mixed. Come alone and we’ll place you with people who aren’t like you.

🤝 Who you’ll meet

Robert Svebeck from the Center for AI Innovation at Karolinska Institutet is there the whole day. He brings needs already identified in healthcare, and coaches the teams on using AI in ways that hold up inside care, so what you build can be used afterwards.

Olof Berglund, coach at Sting, helps teams sharpen the idea and the pitch: what problem it solves and who would use it.

Johanna Mjärdner, founder of Square One is a physician in anesthesiology and intensive care with an Executive MBA, and has worked with medical device regulation and early-stage digital health.

FAQ

What is the goal of the event?
A day to work on everyday healthcare problems with people you don’t usually work with. You also get to practise pitching at the end.

I don’t know anything about healthcare. Can I join anyway?
Yes. The day works because people come from different fields.

Should I have an idea before joining the event?
No preparation needed. We present the problems at the webinar on 25 November. And if you work in care and know a problem worth solving, bring it.

Do I need a team to sign up?
Not at all. You sign up individually and we place you in a team. Teams are presented at the webinar on 25 November. If you’d rather sign up as a team, email us and we’ll do our best to make that happen.

Do I have to pitch at the end?
Your team decides who presents to the jury.

Can I cancel my booking?
The event is free, but spots are limited. You can cancel up to 72 hours before the event starts. Cancel later than that, or don’t show up, and we’ll charge a no-show fee of 500 kr.

I have dietary requests. Can I notify the organisers?
You can add that when you register.
