Circularity as Investment Vertical – More Impact for Lunch by FASE
Circular economy is becoming a strategic question for Europe’s economy and capital markets, driven by resource security, resilience and competitiveness. Investment activity is already increasing: annual investment in the EU has grown from around EUR 70–80 billion in the mid-2010s to around EUR 120 billion today. Yet Europe remains far from its circularity targets. Many solutions and business models are already emerging, but the challenge increasingly lies in moving them beyond pilots and scaling them. This creates a clear role for investors and new investment approaches to help translate circular innovation into broader economic and environmental impact. With the Circular Economy Act on the horizon, the field is gaining further momentum.
In our upcoming More Impact for Lunch, we bring together perspectives from specialised investors (both VCs and LPs) and leading sector experts to unpack the major challenges and opportunities defining circularity. Specifically, we’ll examine the solutions emerging across ventures and technologies, and the sectors with the greatest potential to make a difference.
Our experts for the session:

About the organizations:
CarbonFix is a climate-obsessed single family office deploying capital where conventional finance falls short, across three mandates: philanthropy for what the market can't yet fund, catalytic conviction capital where our involvement changes outcomes, and performance capital backing the best climate operators. With 20+ grants, 30+ direct deals, and 25+ fund investments, we act as active partners. And co-deploy with a trust-based network of like-minded and like mandated family offices to multiply impact well beyond our own capital.
FASE is the leading impact finance advisor across Europe. Since 2012, FASE has collaborated with ventures and investors to mobilize more capital for impact at scale. Rooted in long-term trust and a strong community, FASE helps turn ambitious missions into measurable outcomes for people and the planet. To date, FASE has supported more than 110 financing rounds and mobilized more than €100 million for the impact sector, backed by a network of 2,400+ investors across 25 European countries. FASE also initiated the European Social Innovation and Impact Fund (ESIIF) and the European Catalytic Impact Investing Fund II (ECIIF II).
The European Catalytic Impact Investing Fund II (ECIIF II) is a pan-European co-investment fund and the successor to the European Social Innovation and Impact Fund (ESIIF). Using a catalytic capital structure, it provides patient capital to impact ventures in education & employment, health & care, circular economy & climate action, and food & agriculture, backing both scalable, technology-driven ventures and mission-driven businesses with longer investment horizons. ECIIF II will be advised by Catalytic Impact Partners, a partnership by FASE and Chi Impact Capital. More information at www.eciif.eu.
