Stanford Ocean Science-Policy Initiative & Center for Ocean Solutions Lunch Series: Small-Scale Fisheries in Global Policy with Nicole Franz
Join the Stanford Ocean Science-Policy Group and the Stanford Center for Ocean Solutions for a conversation on small-scale fisheries in global policy with Nicole Franz. Lunch provided!
Nicole Franz will share experiences from her work with intergovernmental organizations, in particular the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, using the lens of (small-scale) fisheries policy. This will include looking at how global policy agendas are set, what possibilities students have to engage with intergovernmental organizations as well as concrete examples of collaborations with academia/research. It will also be an opportunity to talk about engagement with/integration of perspectives of small-scale fisheries' social movements in policy and research.
This is a part of our monthly lunch seminar series with the Center for Ocean Solutions.
