About Event

About the event

Giving people access to AI is one thing. Making it part of how a business works takes more: confidence, relevant skills and support that lasts beyond the first training session.

On 13 October, join PAIR at The Goldsmiths’ Centre in Farringdon for a practical conversation with leaders working through these challenges at Uber and S-RM.

We’ll explore what helps organisations move beyond experimentation, how to turn training into everyday use, and what keeps employees engaged after the initial enthusiasm. Our speakers will share their approaches, lessons from what hasn’t worked, and the questions they’re still figuring out.

Meet the speakers

  • Alex Fisk, Senior Program Manager, AI Enablement, Uber: Alex helps teams across Uber adopt AI, drawing on nearly a decade of experience in enablement and behaviour change at Uber, TikTok and Expedia Group.

  • Toby Thomas, Director of Research, Corporate Intelligence, S-RM: Toby leads internal AI adoption at the global intelligence and risk consultancy and supports clients integrating automated solutions into compliance work.

  • Moderator: Dr James Kuht MBE, CEO and Co-founder, PAIR.

What we’ll discuss

  • Why AI adoption stalls, even when people have access to tools and training.

  • How champions, working groups and ongoing support help people apply AI to their work.

  • What builds confidence in using AI in risk-sensitive organisations.

  • How to recognise meaningful adoption beyond licences and activity counts.

The panel will be followed by audience Q&A and a drinks reception, with time to share experiences and meet other leaders working on similar challenges.

Previous PAIR events have brought together people from Google, Microsoft, Adobe, PwC, Deloitte, BlackRock, JPMorgan and the World Economic Forum.

Join us for candid conversation, useful connections and ideas to take back to your team.
