Founder Chat: EdVisorly founder Manny Smith on scaling AI transcript processing to $4.1M ARR and Series A prep
EdVisorly — the AI Transfer Platform for Higher Education
EdVisorly is an AI-powered transcript processing platform built for university admissions teams across the United States. Founded by Manny Smith, EdVisorly began with a simple observation: admissions offices at major universities still calculate transfer GPAs by hand, two to five minutes per transcript, costing institutions a full business week of staff time on work that should take minutes.
Instead of accepting that as the norm, Manny built AI infrastructure that reads transcripts from any institution, applies the right GPA calculations, and evaluates transfer eligibility in seconds at 99.3% accuracy. Today EdVisorly serves Texas Tech, Stony Brook, UConn, Drexel, and Rice with Common App piloting its technology in Texas, and is at $4.1M ARR heading into a $10M Series A at a $50M valuation.
We welcome Manny Smith, Founder & CEO of EdVisorly and Air Force Academy graduate, UC Berkeley Haas MBA, and Google for Startups Founders Fund alum, for a live conversation on building enterprise AI for a market that still runs on spreadsheets, scaling to major university clients, and what Series A preparation actually looks like.
