Who is Tim Jackson?

Tim Jackson is a seed investor at Walking Ventures and a long-standing figure in Europe’s tech and startup scene.

He was formerly the founder and CEO of QXL, which went public and was later sold for $1.9 billion. He also served as Managing Director of a $700m European technology venture fund at the Carlyle Group.

Today, Tim has 60 active investments and mentors at leading accelerators including Seedcamp, Techstars, Entrepreneur First and Ignite100.

He was formerly a technology commentator - writing for the Financial Times and The Economist. His broad experience gives him a uniquely informed perspective on what drives startup success and strong investor‑founder partnerships.
