About Event

As AI transforms industries and automates tasks, here's the question: What makes YOU irreplaceable?

Not your resume. Not your GPA. Not even your technical skills—those can be learned, automated, or outsourced.

What makes you irreplaceable is how you think, how you connect, how you create. It's your ability to combine empathy with judgment, creativity with critical thinking, hope with action. And here's the truth: those capabilities can be practiced. Built. Strengthened.

This session introduces the Sustainable Entrepreneurs Mindset—a framework connecting MIT research on human intelligence (EPOCH) to practical skills employers already recognize (the 6 Cs). You'll see why "what skills do I have?" is the wrong interview question, and why "how do my capabilities strengthen your team?" is the one that lands jobs.

Through real examples—a Toronto engineer who turned frustration into a national accessibility movement, a restaurateur who created economic pathways for newcomers—you'll see what happens when people stop waiting for permission and start practicing their advantage.

This isn't a pep talk. It's a practice. You'll leave with one concrete habit to start this week, language to use in your next interview, and a framework that works whether you're applying to startups or hospitals or nonprofits or companies that don't exist yet.

Stop competing on skills AI will master in six months. Start building the capabilities AI will never have.

Who Should Attend

• College students trying to stand out in a crowded job market

• Recent graduates wondering why their degree isn't enough anymore

• Career changers who know their experience matters but can't articulate why

• Anyone tired of sending applications into the void and getting nothing back

• Professionals who want to be chosen for how they think, not just what they know

What You'll Take Away

• The five EPOCH capabilities that make you irreplaceable (and why employers care)

• One habit you can practice tomorrow—not someday, tomorrow

• The 6 Cs framework to use in every interview, networking conversation, and team meeting

• Real stories of people who built this advantage and what it created for them

• A way to talk about yourself that makes hiring managers lean in

Session Format (45 minutes total)

15-Minute Talk: Core framework—EPOCH, the 6 Cs, and real examples of people building this advantage

15-Minute Discussion: Facilitated conversation with a colleague to unpack nuances, explore additional examples, and dig into how this shows up in different industries and contexts

15-Minute Q&A: Open conversation with attendees—bring your specific situations, your job search challenges, your questions about how to apply this in your field

Suggested Preread: A long-form blog post covering the framework will be available before the session. Reading it beforehand means we can spend less time on definitions and more time on application—but it's optional, not required.
