About the speaker

Dr. Raza Abidi is a Professor of Computer Science and cross-appointed Professor of Medicine at Dalhousie University. He is the founding director and scientific lead of the NICHE (kNowledge Intensive Computing for Healthcare Ecosystems) research group, which conducts interdisciplinary research at the intersection of artificial intelligence for healthcare, digital health and digital transformation.

About the collaborators

CABHI supports research and innovation that improve the aging experience and brain health. Through funding, mentorship and connections, CABHI helps researchers and innovators develop, test and bring solutions into practice to benefit older persons and their care partners.

ShiftKey provides students in Atlantic Canada the opportunity to enhance their tech skills and achieve professional success.

SURGE is Dalhousie University's science innovation sandbox, giving students hands-on opportunities to apply innovative scientific approaches to real-world challenges.

The Pulse Biomed Hub is an innovation and entrepreneurship sandbox and early-stage accelerator at Dalhousie University dedicated to improving health outcomes through interdisciplinary collaboration across the Faculties of Dentistry, Health, and Medicine. Pulse supports students, faculty, and community partners in developing and commercially launching creative solutions to complex health challenges through program training, events, and experiential learning opportunities.
