Fighting the Right: What Works? At The Campaign Fringe
The radical right is no longer a fringe concern - it's reshaping the political map. Reform's rise, the fracturing of the traditional Conservative vote, and the radical right's growing foothold in local government, the Senedd and Holyrood have all changed the terrain progressives are campaigning on.
This opening panel asks the central question facing campaigners: what actually works to stop the radical right's advance? Combining political strategy with practical campaigning evidence, the session will explore what recent elections have taught us, what persuades Reform-curious voters, and where progressive campaigns continue to fall short. Drawing on doorstep experience, message-testing, polling and social listening, speakers will identify the messages, messengers and organising approaches that can win support between now and 2029 - and the tools, data and tech infrastructure campaigns need to put that strategy into practice at scale.
Speakers include:
Hannah O'Rourke, Director, Campaign Lab (chair)
Jo White MP (invited)
Mae Dobbs, Senior Director of Product and Tech, Electica
Veronica Hawking, Director of Campaigns, 38 Degrees
