GlificConnect: Community. Collaboration. Conversations.
What does it take to make communication work at the last mile?
GlificConnect is a space for NGOs, practitioners, funders, technology partners and others working in social impact to share what they’re learning about reaching and engaging communities.
Across sectors and contexts, organisations are using WhatsApp, chatbots, apps, AI and non-digital approaches to support communication in their programmes. This event brings those experiences together — what worked, what didn’t, what was difficult to implement and what it takes to make an approach useful in practice.
As an open-source platform and community that supports two-way programme communication, Glific is excited to bring together a range of perspectives, approaches and experiences from people working on the ground.
On 25 September in Bengaluru, join us for honest conversations, practical sessions, demonstrations and opportunities to connect with others working on last-mile communication for social impact.
What to expect
An honest panel: Hear from practitioners and experts about the realities of communicating with communities today, across channels and methods. Explore questions of adoption, trust, implementation, responsible technology, measurement and scale. [Panellists to be announced]
Stories and solutions from the field: Meet organisations working to make communication more useful and accessible in real programmes. Hear what they tried, what worked, what broke, what they changed and what they learned along the way.
Workshops that get practical: Work through real implementation challenges with peers and practitioners. Sessions may cover engagement, adoption, choosing the right channel, measuring success, costs, responsible technology and scaling sustainably.
See different approaches in action: Explore live examples from organisations using digital tools, including the 2026 Glific AI Accelerator teams and longer-running Glific users. Ask the questions that matter: Who is this for? What does it take to implement? What happens when the technology doesn’t work as planned?
Time to connect and collaborate: Meet NGO leaders, practitioners, funders, technology partners and others working on communication for social impact. Share experiences, find common challenges and explore opportunities to learn and work together.
You should be in the room if you are:
NGOs and social impact organisations working on community engagement and programme communication
Practitioners and implementation teams looking for practical ideas and lessons from the field
Funders and partners interested in what helps technology-led and community-led approaches go further
Technology teams and organisations building or exploring communications tools for social impact
Glific users and organisations exploring Glific who want to learn from peers and share their experiences
Come curious. Leave with something useful.
A practice to try. A lesson to take back. A new perspective on what technology can, and can't, do for social impact. Or simply a conversation that continues after the event.
