About Event

Close out TGW 2026 with one final adventure, with support from Interactive Ontario as part of their 25th Anniversary celebrations! In addition to a 20 game retrospective for Toronto Game Jam's 20th year, we have an awesome finale performance from HyperGame StoryTime -- but oh no, wait! The Bad Vibes Wizard has shown up to wreck our fun! He's trapped the various instruments needed to launch us into Party Time: can you help the Aerialist Angel free them? Or, help out by making Dream Game drawings to attack the Bad Vibes Wizard and banish him for good! All these shenanigans plus drinks, music, networking, a game showcase in a Dirty RecRoom, and a raffle for a Nintendo Switch 2 provided by our joyful tech supporters, CrowdParty! 19+.

Wait, What?

Yes, we thought you might have questions.

HyperGame StoryTime? An Aerialist Angel? Bad Vibes Wizard?

HGST has been a local legend in the scene since his Hand Eye Society Ball 2019 performance brought down the house. This time watch him battle the Bad Vibes Wizard with his loopy lyrics and his Angel Aerialist ally above at Demo Room, a new LED-lit lair down by the waterfront!

What is TOJam?

The Toronto Game Jam is a three-day game making event that has spawned over 1000 games in the 20 years it has been going, including indie hits like Super Time Force. Volunteer run, it is an invaluable community resource and it’s the longest running game jam in North America (second only in the world to the Nordic Game Jam).

What is the Dream Game?

You draw something, the Dream Game team scans and transports it into a playable game! Run by an artist studio of friends who do illustration and models for Cuphead, amongst many other improbable projects.

What is the Dirty RecRoom?

It’s a lovingly recreated recreational room from an imagined past, complete with comfy places to gather around a CRT TV’s glow and play local games by indie developers selected by the Dirty Rectangles collective.

What is Interactive Ontario?

The team at IO have been behind-the-scenes advocates for the video game and interactive entertainment sector across the province for 25 years! With the support of their members, they’ve built bridges in our community, created opportunities with governments and partners and generated lasting momentum for our region worldwide.
