Earth Day Cleanup in Pacific Heights
Take a break from SF Climate Week panels, stretch your legs, and give back.
Join Trinity St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, the oldest Episcopal church on the West Coast, for a community cleanup (because the climate needs more than just another panel discussion). The cleanup will be followed by light refreshments and networking.
During your visit, you'll get an inside look at the church's new solar system, installed in partnership with RE-volv and California Interfaith Power & Light. By making the switch to clean energy, Trinity St. Peter’s is reinvesting $261,000 of energy bill savings directly back into its vital programs, like community cleanups, ensuring SF thrives for decades to come.
About the Partners
Trinity St. Peter’s Episcopal Church was established in 1849 as the "Mother Church of the Pacific Coast," making it the oldest Episcopal church on the West Coast. The church delivers outsized community impact through its feeding programs, environmental cleanups, and its role as a venue for local concerts and civic gatherings.
RE-volv is an equity-informed, clean energy access organization that helps nonprofits in underinvested communities across the country go solar while raising awareness about equitable climate solutions and training the next generation of clean energy leaders. To date, RE-volv has developed and financed over 135 nonprofit solar projects in 20 states, collectively saving them $46 million on their electricity bills and empowering them to better serve their 380,000 beneficiaries.
California Interfaith Power & Light (CIPL) inspires and mobilizes people of faith and conscience to take bold, just action on climate change. CIPL works with over 600 congregations across California to promote energy stewardship, advocate for equitable climate policies, and care for our common home.
