The Business Case for Investing in Resilient Agriculture
The entire food system – from the farms and ranches to household brands – is under threat from the worsening impacts of a warming planet.
To protect their bottom lines and build resilience in the global food system, companies can play a critical role in supporting producers to adopt more sustainable and regenerative agricultural practices. Some companies are already providing financial and technical assistance and signaling demand for products made using these practices, but more are needed to enable an industry-wide transformation.
This workshop, hosted by Ceres, will provide clarity to companies and their investors on the business case for investing in resilient agriculture. Participants will explore ways to quantify the return on investment by examining areas of corporate risk and identifying opportunities for creating value. They will learn from corporate case studies, engage with experts and peers, and leave with actionable strategies that can be applied across the industry.
