Energy Hub Tanzania is a platform dedicated to enhancing public understanding of Tanzania's energy sector. In 2026, welaunched Powering the Conversation, a monthly webinar series aimed at promoting informed discussion on key energy issues.

​Previous sessions looked at energy access challenges in Tanzania, examining who lacks reliable energy, how energy poverty affects lives and livelihoods, and the solutions and commitments being pursued to address these gaps. These discussions established a foundation for understanding why energy transitions matter.

​Building on that foundation, this session will provide a high-level overview of Tanzania's renewable energy landscape. It will focus on the country's renewable energy resources, progress made to date, and the policy, institutional, and market factors shaping development. The objective is to establish a common understanding of the sector and provide participants with a clear picture of where Tanzania's renewable energy transition stands today.
