About Event

Join EA NYC on November 12th for a Critical Discussion on AI Governance and Legal Frameworks with Professor Andrew Miller

Professor Andrew Miller from Brooklyn Law School will speak to EA NYC about the urgent legal and policy challenges at the intersection of artificial intelligence and effective governance.

Professor Miller's pioneering work includes:

  • Co-founding Yale Law's Private Law Clinic, where he led students in tackling cutting-edge challenges in algorithmic accountability and consumer protection

  • Litigating groundbreaking cases against the misuse of facial recognition and AI surveillance technologies at Loevy & Loevy civil rights firm

  • Researching the theoretical and doctrinal implications of algorithmic decision-making in consumer markets

He'll share insights on how legal frameworks must evolve to govern transformative AI technologies, the critical gaps in current AI regulation, and practical approaches to ensuring AI development aligns with societal benefit. As AI capabilities rapidly advance, understanding the legal and regulatory landscape is essential for anyone working to ensure these technologies benefit humanity. Professor Miller brings both theoretical depth and practical litigation experience to this pressing challenge—creating governance structures that can both enable innovation and protect against harm.
