About Event

UCL's Minds & Machines Initiative is hosting its 2026 Symposium, bringing together researchers working across neuroscience, cognitive science and artificial intelligence.

When: Tuesday, 10 November 2026, 10:00–14:00 UK time.

Where: Room LG04, 26 Bedford Way, UCL & Zoom.

  • Prof Karl Friston, Professor of Neuroscience, Wellcome Principal Research Fellow and Honorary Consultant in Neuropsychiatry, UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology.

  • Dr Megan A. K. Peters, Associate Professor in Experimental Psychology at University College London and Associate Professor of Cognitive Sciences at the University of California, Irvine.

  • Dr Matija Franklin, Research Scientist in the Humanity, Ethics and Alignment Research Team (HEART), Google DeepMind.

  • Dr Eleanor Spens, Postdoctoral Researcher in Tim Behrens’ lab at the University of Oxford and, from October 2026, Career Development Research Fellow at St John’s College, Oxford.

  • Dr Refael Tikochinski, Postdoctoral Fellow in the Affective Brain Lab, Department of Experimental Psychology, University College London.
