走れメロス、ジェットマン / Run, Melos! + Jetman

​「そんなに急ぐ必要もない」──太宰治の名作を、荒木太郎監督が総勢数十名の出演者と人形、粘土細工とともに映画化した38分の手作り大活劇『走れメロス』（撮影監督：小山田勝治／カラー）。

​"No real need to hurry that much." Taro Araki's handmade 38-minute take on Osamu Dazai's classic Run, Melos! reimagines the tale of friendship and tyranny as a grand action-spectacle (大活劇) — dozens of performers, puppets, and clay figures, shot by cinematography director Katsuji Oyamada, all held together by pure DIY spirit.

​Screening first is Jet Man (19 min), a monochrome silent entry in the "Fantastic In-Brain Science Play" series — a new kind of hero arrives! — accompanied live by benshi Pon in the great tradition of silent-film narration.
