RideFlow DC: Spoke and Seek
Spoke and Seek: A Cyclist Scavenger Hunt
Dupont Circle ArtWalk | Friday, June 5, 2026 | Free
Meet at Dupont Circle, near the fountain
Come join RideFlow DC the first Friday of June in our very first Spoke and Seek! What if showing up for DC art galleries and businesses was an active transit adventure? Spoke and Seek invites DC’s active transit community to take over the Dupont’s Art Walk by bicycle, scooter, walking, or any other non-car transit. Take a ride, solve some art riddles, and hang out with the coolest active transit community in DC! Communities thrive on foot traffic and RideFlow DC is going to bring it to Dupont!
Spoke and Seek is a cycling scavenger hunt layered on top of Dupont Circle's beloved monthly Art Walk (https://dupontcirclebid.org/events/artwalk-dupont), which is a neighborhood tradition that opens galleries, embassies, and cultural spaces every first Friday of the month. This June, we're joining the walk on two wheels (or two feet), turning the neighborhood into a puzzle board and the galleries into immersive games.
This is the debut community event from RideFlow DC, a multimodal transit app built for people who move through DC without a car. RideFlow DC layers bike infrastructure, transit data, and neighborhood context into a single map for DC's active commuters and car-free residents. Spoke and Seek is the first time we're bringing that community off the screen and into the streets as we launch a team-based social feature in the app to go along with it.
The exciting schedule:
5:00 PM: Meet up at Dupont Circle, near the fountain. Get your bearings, meet your neighbors, and grab a sticker.
5:15-5:45 PM: Express your support for a Connecticut Ave bikelane with a short group ride down Connecticut Ave! A low-key rolling show of support for better, safer cycling infrastructure. This part requires wheels for participation
6:00-8:00 PM: Teams split up and hit the venues. Each gallery has a riddle. Solve them, collect points, and strategize. You probably can't get to all of them on your own, which is exactly the point.
8:15-9:30 PM: Happy hour. Winners announced. Prizes claimed. New friends made. Venue TBA soon!
A big thank you to our participating venues:
Washington Studio School
Vika Gallery
Studio Gallery DC
Washington Project for the Arts
...and more to be announced.
A note on wheels (and feet): You don't need a bike to play. Spoke and Seek is open to anyone moving through the neighborhood under their own power including cyclists, walkers, scooter riders, rollerbladers. Active transit, full stop.
Team strategy is everything. Each person may not reach every gallery. Recruit your crew in advance or join an existing team, so you can divide and conquer. You can even show up solo and join a team on the night. Either way, the more the merrier (and the faster).
Account setup and team registration will be available through the RideFlow DC app. Link coming soon! Please follow along for updates.
Free and car-free. See you June 5.
