Title: From Static to Electric: The 5-Minute Action Cable Upgrade
Desc: Think adding WebSockets to an existing codebase requires a massive overhaul? Think again. I will demonstrate the exact steps to integrate Action Cable into an existing Rails app, turning a request-response cycle into a two-way street with surprisingly few lines of code.

Title: Multi-step durable async workflows in Rails, natively
Desc:
ActiveJob handles simple background tasks well, but multi-step workflows expose its limits: job identity doesn't survive retries reliably, state lives in opaque blobs, and answering "which payment flows are stuck?" means diving into adapter internals. geneva_drive treats workflows as first-class database records — queryable, auditable, and durable. Database constraints enforce exactly-once execution, and you can inspect or resume workflows with standard ActiveRecord queries. No Redis, no Kafka, no new infrastructure—just your Rails app and the database you already have.
21.00 - Networking & Knowledge Sharing
Got any cool Ruby projects? Be sure to bring them along!
