Life Sciences Central 1-Year Anniversary

​This event marks the first anniversary of Life Sciences Central. The session is dedicated to launching our new programming streams, spotlighting high-potential early-stage ventures, and hosting a panel discussion.

​One year ago, Life Sciences Central launched with a bold vision: to make Ontario’s world-class life sciences ecosystem easier to navigate and accelerate the path from innovation to commercialization. Today, that vision is becoming reality. Through a connected network model, a single intake process, coordinated support and structured programming, Life Sciences Central is helping founders access the resources they need to grow. More than 100 early-stage companies across therapeutics, medtech, diagnostics, digital health, and consumer health have already joined the network. Celebrate this milestone with us and discover what’s next for strengthening Ontario’s innovation pipeline and scaling the next generation of life sciences leaders.

​The event will feature a panel discussion on “Rethinking Capital: How Early-Stage Health Companies Can Access Funding in a New Era”. The process of raising capital has never been more challenging, or more fragmented. Early-stage biotech and medtech companies increasingly receive support from investors who bring more than money: networks, validation, clinical expertise, strategic partnerships and long-term support. This panel will explore how new funding models help founders bridge the gap from discovery to commercialization and how entrepreneurs can identify the right capital partners for each stage of growth.
