​Build Your First Agent with Claude Code | Cape Town

​Ever wondered what it actually takes to build an agent? Spoiler: a lot less than you think 😅

​We’re getting the Cape Town Claude community together for an evening of building our very first agents with Claude Code.

​Your host for the evening

​We’re super excited to have Alexander Oloo, CTO and co-founder of stub (intelligent accounting for entrepreneurs), leading the build. He’ll walk you through how an agent comes together, build one live, and be on hand to help while you build your own.

​Every attendee will recieve API credits from Anthropic, so you can experiment freely.

​Before you arrive

​We want every minute in the room spent building, not installing. So please come with:

• ​Claude Code installed and running on your laptop

• ​Access to the Claude Console, so you can load your API credit voucher on the night

• ​A fully charged laptop, plus your charger

​If you get stuck on setup, don’t stress. Arrive at 18:00 sharp and we’ll help you get sorted before kickoff.

​Who this is for

​Anyone curious about agents who’s comfortable opening a terminal. You don’t need to have built an agent before, that’s the whole point. If you’ve never used Claude Code, spend 15 minutes with it before the event and you’ll be in great shape.
