The format
This is an entry level Claude Code workshop. You'll learn the ropes of how experienced Software Engineers are using Claude code. We'll touch on skills, plugins, proper setup, and prompting.
Seats are approved, not first come. Tell us honestly where you are at when you apply. We would rather put you in the right room than the next available one.
Bring
A Claude subscription, see below.
Your own laptop and charger. A personal machine if your work one is locked down. Not a tablet, not an iPad, not a Chromebook.
Claude Code, installed and signed in. Test it before you leave home, not in the lift. Claude Desktop is fine if that is genuinely your setup, but most people will want the CLI.
A Cloudflare and Clerk account, free tier. Created before you arrive. The boilerplate is laid out for Cloudflare and Clerk, you want to use it, get your accounts setup ahead of time.
Your usual setup. Editor, terminal, dotfiles, whatever makes you fast. This is not the night to try a new machine.
A word on your Claude plan
Max is what we recommend. Pro will get you through, but you will feel the ceiling somewhere in the back half of the night. The free tier will not be enough. If that is you, upgrade for the month or come to a different event, because running out of usage at 8pm is a miserable way to spend a build night.
