Superhuman Lab | Bangalore
What if a wheelchair felt less like a medical device and more like an upgrade?
What if assistive tech didn't compensate for limitations, but unlocked entirely new abilities?
A 2-day interdisciplinary experience where artists, engineers, designers, caregivers and persons with disabilities come together to reimagine human capability through play, storytelling and speculative prototyping.
Part speculative design lab. Part hacker movement. Part superhero origin story.
This is not an ordinary hackathon. We're not here for demo-day theatre, we want ideas that actually have impact, grounded in; lived experience and built with the people who'd use them.
Expect painted wheelchairs with attitude. Prosthetics with hidden tricks. Sensory adapters that unlock new ways of experiencing the world. And a room full of people asking: "What else could humans become?"
What to expect
Extending human ability: designing for augmented possibility, not limitation
Accessibility meets cyberpunk: playful, feasible human upgrades
Built with real empathy: collaboration across disciplines and lived experience
Human-centered rebellion: a radical rethinking of how humans interact with technology
