🚀 Claude Community Event: Guadalajara
Join a Claude Community Event, organized by local enthusiasts for everyone who loves building with Claude! Coming to Guadalajara for the first time, this is a hands-on workshop focused on Claude Code and Claude Cowork, designed specifically for developers.
Our philosophy is community-led: we learn the tools properly first, use them to build something real, and then show what we made.
🛠️ How the Day Works
Learn: We start with guided walkthroughs of Claude Code and Claude Cowork. This isn't a feature tour—we’ll show you how to actually work with them: setting up, providing good context, iterating, and knowing when to reach for which tool.
Build: Once it clicks, you build. Bring an idea or pick one up in the room, and spend the working blocks making it a reality.
Demo: We close with demos. Everyone shows what they made (five minutes each). Whether it's fully working or totally broken, both are interesting!
Lightning Talks: Three short talks are threaded throughout the day from people already shipping with Claude. Expect real projects, real tradeoffs, and time to ask questions.
🎯 Who This Is For Developers of any level. You'll get the most out of it if you're comfortable in a terminal and already have a project or problem in mind—but if you're entirely new to Claude Code, this is a great place to start.
🎒 What to Bring
A laptop with your usual dev setup.
Claude Code already installed (so we can start on time).
An idea you've been meaning to build.
An Anthropic account (set it up at console.anthropic.com before you arrive so you're not doing it in the room).
🗓️ Schedule (The 29th)
09:00 — Doors open. Coffee, setup, and chit-chat.
09:30 — Intro + Hands-on: Claude Code (Ricardo Lira de La Vega). We work through it live, together, on your own laptop. You follow along and build as we go.
10:30 — Lightning Talk: Where AI Actually Pays (and Where It Doesn't): Agents in Production (Julio Arroyo).
11:00 — Build Block 1. You start building. Mentors will be around the room to help.
12:30 — Lightning Talk: Context Optimization Techniques (Hector Cuesta).
12:50 — Lunch 🍕
13:50 — Lightning Talk: Cómo evité que Claude repitiera mis errores (Franchesco Romero).
14:10 — Build Block 2. The long stretch. Uninterrupted building.
16:00 — Demos. Show what you built. Short, informal, no slides needed.
16:50 — Wrap-up & Networking.
17:00 — Close.
