​Claude Impact Lab - October 10

​We are hosting an Impact Lab on October 10 in collaboration with MPSeDC and Madhya Pradesh Government bringing together developers, AI builders, designers, students, researchers and other problem solvers to work on a real problem faced by the department.

​An Impact Lab is different from a regular hackathon. Instead of teams coming in with their own ideas, the event starts with one real problem identified with our partner organization.

​The problem, relevant context and required resources will be shared with participants at the beginning of the event. Teams will then have the day to understand the problem, work with the available resources and build a working solution.

​The focus is on building something practical within a limited amount of time.

​What will happen?

​Teams of 4-5 people will work on the same problem, with each team taking its own approach to solving it.

​Participants can use Claude, Claude Code, APIs, traditional software development, AI/ML techniques or any combination of tools that makes sense for the problem.

​MPSeDC and MP Govt. representatives and mentors will be present during the event and the final solutions will be presented to a judging panel that includes representatives from MPSeDC and the organizing team.

​What happens to the projects after the event?

​The work does not simply end with the final presentations.

​Teams will be expected to submit their project along with the source code and basic documentation. Eligible projects will be made available through GitHub, allowing MPSeDC to access and review the work after the event and where appropriate, explore the possibility of taking a solution further.

​Any confidential, restricted or sensitive data provided for the event will not be made public. The source code and documentation will be shared subject to the applicable data, privacy, security, intellectual-property and licensing requirements.

​Who can participate?

​The Impact Lab is open to people from different backgrounds, including -

• ​Developers and software engineers

• ​AI/ML practitioners

• ​Students

• ​Designers and UX practitioners

• ​Data scientists

• ​Researchers

• ​Product and technology enthusiasts

• ​People with relevant domain knowledge

​You don't need to be an AI expert to participate. Different skills and perspectives can be useful when working on a real-world problem.

​You can come with a team or participate individually. Teams will generally consist of 4-5 participants and will be finalized before the event.

​What will the day look like?

• ​09:00 AM — Check-in and breakfast

• ​09:45 AM — Opening, introduction to the problem by MPSeDC, event briefing and judging criteria

• ​10:15 AM — Teams begin building

• ​01:00 PM — Lunch

• ​04:00 PM — Submission and demo briefing

• ​05:30 PM — Final submission deadline

• ​05:35 PM — Jury review and selection of teams for final presentations

• ​06:30 PM — Final presentations and Q&A

• ​07:30 PM — Evaluation, winners announcement and closing

​The exact timings may change slightly depending on the final venue and event arrangements.

​How will projects be evaluated?

​The judging will focus on the practical quality of the solutions, including -

• ​Impact — How well does the solution address the problem?

• ​Usability — Is it understandable and useful for the intended user?

• ​Execution — How well was the solution built within the available time?

• ​Creativity — Does the approach bring something thoughtful or different?

• ​Clarity — Can the team clearly explain and demonstrate what they built?

​What should you bring?

• ​Your laptop and charger

• ​A GitHub account

• ​Your preferred development tools

• ​An interest in solving real-world problems

​Familiarity with Claude, Claude Code, APIs or AI development is useful but not required.

A bit about the Host: Aniket Sahu is a Claude Community Ambassador in India, AI & Web3 community builder and developer advocate. He has organized workshops, hackathons and meetups across India, helping over 30,000 builders get started with Web3, AI and emerging technologies. Through hands-on sessions and community initiatives, he actively supports students and developers in building practical AI applications with Claude and beyond.

​The first partner-led Impact Lab in Bhopal, conducted in collaboration with MPSeDC (State IT Center) and the Government of Madhya Pradesh. Government partners have identified and finalized real-world problem statements that participants will work on during the event.

​Participants will use AI, including Claude, to build practical, use-case-oriented solutions to selected challenges. The goal is to move beyond AI awareness and enable participants to explore how AI can be applied meaningfully to solve real problems, while identifying potential solutions and future opportunities for continued collaboration with government departments.
